Using this site

You’re welcome to browse, join ARC teams, download the free member resources, and take part in the Book Club. In return: don’t try to break, overload, or misuse the site, don’t scrape or republish its content, and don’t sign up under details that aren’t yours. I keep everything here as accurate as I can, but ARC dates, team availability, and reader numbers change constantly, so nothing on the site is a promise or a guarantee. The site is provided as-is, and there will occasionally be downtime, for maintenance or because websites break sometimes.

ARC participation

Advance copies are provided free for personal reading and honest review. Every ARC is watermarked automatically with a digital ID, sometimes invisible, identifying the reader it was issued to, and may not be shared, resold, or redistributed. A copy traced back from a pirated source means immediate removal from every team, and the reader’s name will be shared with the network of ARC services, author teams, and publishing professionals that tracks pirated advance copies. That is the one case where reader information leaves this room, and the Privacy Policy says the same. Reviews are voluntary: no reader is required to review positively, and access to future teams never depends on ratings.

Giveaways

Some teams end with a giveaway. Entry attaches to the end-of-team check-in and is open to every reader who finishes the book. Posting a review is optional, and neither posting one nor what it says affects your entry. Prizes, timing, and how they reach you are announced with each giveaway. No purchase is ever required, and a giveaway run through a social platform is not sponsored or endorsed by that platform.

Intellectual property

Books and their covers belong to their authors and publishers. Site content and toolkit assets belong to Literary Inspired unless noted.

Liability & governing law

The Reading Room connects readers with authors and free books. It isn’t responsible for the content of the books themselves, which belongs to their authors, or for what happens on the third-party tools in the chain (BookFunnel, Google, your retailer), each of which has its own terms. To the fullest extent the law allows, Literary Inspired isn’t liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site or taking part in a team, and nothing here limits any liability that can’t be limited by law. These terms are governed by the law of South Africa, where Literary Inspired is based, and any dispute falls to the South African courts.
