Badges, and how they work

When you hit a milestone I’ll send yours over by email, or shout about it on the Substack if you’d like me to. There’s no automatic system watching you, and there is no leaderboard. Your reading is not a competition and I’m not about to turn it into one. Badges are recognition, and nothing of value is attached to them. No badge depends on what a review said or how many stars it gave.

The hardest one. Everything after this is easier.

You have officially found the habit.

Authors know your name by now, whether or not you know that.
Twenty-five reviews
Twenty-five books met their readers partly because of you.
How do you know I’ve hit a milestone?
Because you told me, mostly. Reviews get submitted through the review form, so I can see them adding up on my side. If you’ve been reviewing for ages and never used the form, email me and we’ll count them together.
Will my name go on the site?
Only if you ask for it. Reader names and details never go on any public page here by default. Any reader quote here would be initials only, on purpose. A spotlight is something you opt into, never something that happens to you.
Do I have to review to get the printables?
No. They’re free to everyone, reviewer or not, member or not. Reviews are always voluntary here, and nothing of value on this site is ever traded for one.
Can I share these with my book club?
Please do. Print a stack, hand them round, stick them in a group chat. The only ask is that you don’t sell them or pass them off as your own work.
